Dr Meredith Ogilvie-Brown

Rehabilitation Physician Associate Lecturer, School of Medicine, University of Queensland VMO Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane Dr Ogilvie-Brown graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) and commenced her career as a physiotherapist in public and private hospitals as well as in community settings. She then completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at University of Queensland’s School of Medicine, graduating in 2008. Dr Ogilvie-Brown undertook her specialty training with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in public and private hospitals throughout Queensland. Her special interests include: hypertonicity management (including Botulinum toxin injections), orthopaedics (e.g. post joint arthroplasty), neurology (including stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease), amputation, reconditioning and cardiac rehabilitation. Dr Ogilvie-Brown is an Associate Lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Queensland and has an interest in the education of medical students and junior doctors. Her research has been published internationally and she continues to be involved in new research projects. Dr Ogilvie-Brown conducts the Hypertonicity Clinic at Mater Private Hospital, Annerley Road Campus, on alternate Wednesdays. |
